Merida Omahe
Merida is an ardent girls’ and women human rights defender (WHRD) activist and a survivor of Female Genital Mutilation and Human Trafficking with broad skills and experience in paralegal matters in the context of the kurian community in migori county. Born and raised in one of the 22 hot spot counties that practice female genital cutting; being a survivor, Merida has used her voice to protect thousands of girls in her community and even provide safe haven to girls running away from female genital mutilation.
