Glory holds a bachelor degree of Arts in Project Planning and Management from Kisii University with a diploma in Community Development from Moi University. She is the Executive Director of Tunaweza Empowerment Organization (TEO); a non-profit women’s rights, survivors-centered, and youth development advocacy community-based organization that exists to catalyze the power of the most vulnerable girls, young women, and youth to create the future they imagine –for themselves, for their society, and for the world. She has good knowledge and work experience of Five (5) years as community facilitator for Tunaweza Empowerment Organization in the project that strengthened selected community-based groups in prevention and response to Sexual Gender Based Violence, Peace building; and Micro- enterprise improvement. She is skilled in people management, coaching & mentorship, support supervision and gender responsive programming with exemplary skilled in advocacy, project planning, monitoring and evaluation; organizational development and systems strengthening. Before her appointment as the Executive Director at Tunaweza Empowerment Organization, she worked for KELIN in Migori County coordinating a community health rights intervention project that strengthened advocacy and accountability in quality & rights to health in the community, primary and secondary schools. The project aimed at addressing the legal, social & structural barriers in realization of the right on HIV, TB, Sexual and Reproductive Health in Migori County as per articles 21, 27 and 43 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010. The that utilized and leveraged on the Community Health Strategy approach of the Ministry of Health as well as guidelines and support of NASCOP and County/Sub County AIDS and STI Control and Prevention structures. Glory has over 7 years’ experience of doing youth empowerment work in migori county and possesses immerse wealth of knowledge & experienced in provision of technical support and capacity strengthening to community-based health and development groups with proven ability to work effectively with government line Ministries of Health, Education, Children and Youth affairs in the Counties & Sub-Counties, local community organizations, and other stakeholders. She is also a certified civic educator by Uraia Trust Kenya.
