FINANCE INTERN AND CLIMATE ACTION AND JUSTICE PROJECT OFFICER
BACKGROUND
Tunaweza Empowerment Organization is seeking to recruit passionate,committed and driven individuals to join our team in the following positions:
1. Finance Intern
We are looking for a highly motivated individual eager to gain hands-on experience in financial management within a dynamic nonprofit environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support financial record keeping and documentation
• Assist in budget tracking and expense reporting
• Support procurement and payment processes
• Maintain proper filing of financial documents
Requirements:
• CPA Section II and above qualification
• Pursuing or recently completed studies in Finance, Accounting or related field
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other computer applications
• High level of integrity and attention to detail
2. Climate Action & Justice Project Officer
We are seeking a passionate and experienced individual to lead and support climate action and justice initiatives, particularly focusing on youth engagement and community impact.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement climate action programs
• Engage youth and communities in climate justice advocacy
• Develop reports, proposals, and communication materials
• Build partnerships and support project coordination
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Environmental Studies, ClimateChange, Social Sciences, or related field
• Proven experience in climate action, advocacy or community work
• Strong writing, communication and project management skills
• Passion for youth empowerment and social justice
